Senior Planning

In the history of the world, two-thirds of all people who have ever lived past the age of 65 are alive today. Senior citizens (those over age 65) are the single fastest growing segment of the population. For the first time, individuals are likely to spend more time in retirement than they did in their working years. Mothers may spend more years taking care of parents than they do taking care of their own children.

As the average length of life continues to increase, issues regarding quality of life (active life expectancy) are likely to assume more importance. Due to the major changes in senior demographics, science, medicine and family dynamics, seniors need to reconsider a myriad of planning issues. It is vitally important that we adjust our planning to account for this shift so that we do not outlive our resources.

Have you prepared yourself and your family for the important questions you will face during your retirement years?

How many of these questions have you considered?

Where will I live if I can no longer manage my own household?
What kind of medical care will I require and who will pay for it?
Who will help me with the day-to-day activities and chores when my children cannot?
How can my children and I make legal and financial decisions that are in the best interest of all?
What can I do to ensure that I lead a quality life during my golden years?

There are four main areas of concern:

Housing
Health Care
Assistance with Daily Activities
Financial and Legal Matters

Jill Dudley, Executive Administrator

One of Jills primary responsibilities is to stay up-to-date on the many changes that take place in the Long Term Care industry. Having managed her own mother's case for over 10 years, Jill has first-hand experience with all the aspects of the specialized planning needed as seniors go through the aging process.

Testimonial:

"Brian, I want to thank you and Jill for doing such a professional job in not only researching my options for life insurance and long-term care insurance, but also for going that extra mile to make sure that I got the best possible offer. You and Jill have proven that you really know your stuff. But, I was most impressed by the work you both did behind the scenes. When the underwriter came back with a lesser offer, you didn't take no for an answer. You kept working for me to secure the most favorable rate the carrier could offer. I guess that's a combination of your "independent agent advantage" and your "setting the standard for service"! You guys truly do."
